Oh, MAN. One HELL of a story! Why is there a certain character I really want to kill right now???
Loved the delivery room scenes, especially her comment about him doing it to her, and his response had me cracking up.
So when will it be continued?
Of course, more comments later, after a few rereadings to absorb it all...

Ahhhhhhhh. Its so refreshing to see that Egon and Janine can get through a milestone in life with no negative supernatural occurances....No wait, I'm sorry, that's not what this story is about at all! lol. But then it wouldn't be Egon and Janine if something like this didn't happen. Nodus is going to get what's coming to him I hope. And did I ever mention that I don't like the phrase 'to be continued'? lol
I LOVE this story! I am so glad to finally see Egon and Janine realize their true destinies as parents, and I'm glad to see the guys all together and happy. Now if we could just clear up this nodus issue...Oh well, part 2 I will be ready for!
And Happy Mother's Day Janine! I sure hope you like the solar powered vacuum clearner your six year olds built for you!

When I sent out beta version one of them wrote me back calling me a rat bastard for ending on a cliffhanger like that. I didn't even mark it as "Part 1" to add to the surprise.
And I hope that this story isn't done surprising everyone. The only hint I'm going to make right now is that one chapter is going to feature some characters you thought you'd never see in one of my stories...
Aw, c'mon...there were no supernatural crises going on in "Forever". Though that's mostly because the one I had in mind for it got spun off into it's own seperate story, "Hearts In Eclipse"
A big chunk of Part 2 is already written--some if it is actually the oldest material in the story, written over a year ago. But I intend to do the next (final?) part of "GBWC: Where In The World Is Chelsea Aberdeen?" next.

Well, I didn't call you any rotten names. It was more like, "(yelling at the computer screen) Aw, MAN! Fritz, how in the hell could you DO that? " I mean, we know the twins will be OK, but I think the real rat bastard is a certain jerk with the initials J.N. Good to hear Chelsea is soon to be finished. Cliffhangers drive me CRAZY!

Lol...it was meant in fun, of course, the same way a different beta reader called me similar names after "Zodiac Imperative Part 4", which ended with the proton packs blowing up. I can understand that, but if I did stories without cliffhangers, they'd be dozens and dozens of pages, and would come out even slower than they do now.

YOU INSUFFERABLE INHUMAN BASTARD! How can you leave us on a cliffhanger like that?! When I sent out beta version one of them wrote me back calling me a rat bastard for ending on a cliffhanger like that. I didn't even mark it as "Part 1" to add to the surprise. All insults aside, a great setup to a great story. And there's this whole 'House of M' (or is it gonna be 'House of N' or 'House of GB') thing going on... what lies beyond the white light? Great characterisation, good jokes and of course, the treats from Janine on bludgening Peter to death... classic. And good to see Nodus return, even if he is the true rat bastard... he's become an enigmatic villian who isn't the stereotype black and white villian... he does bad stuff because he believes it's the right course of action. And of course, segmented parts are best. They help pace a story out, keep people interested and allow the author a break and the chance to work on other projects. Looking forward to Gemini Rising - Part 2 and of course, Where in the World is Chelsea Aberdeen - Part 2.

Oh no! I just had a horrible thought of who that could be! Now that was a really bad thing to say to us, I'm going to drive myself nuts guessing and trying to see if I'm right.
Just please don't let it be who I think it is! ghostdiva

I think I have a pretty good idea. Even my husband went, "Oh, no. Not them!"
Should we warm up the truck? We can use mine...

Firstly, I just adore the cute little baby picture of Eden Marie and Johnathan Christopher. They are so gorgeous with their little scientific equations on their romper suits.
Secondly, Oh. My. God! This ending is just evil. Very, very evil. Nodus needs his arse well and truly kicked for this.
I love the reaction from Egon’s mother, and Louis’ feelings about Janine’s pregnancy. Again, I find myself feeling sorry for the guy. How the heck do you manage to keep making me feel sorry for Louis?!
The birth was beautiful, touching and funny. Janine wasn’t as verbally abusive as I thought she would be, but then after twenty-four hours of labour she’d probably have been too exhausted by the time she actually gave birth. You can just tell that Egon and Janine are going to be great parents as they are bonding with their two newborns.
This is shaping up to be a very, very exciting story. I can't wait for the next installment, now. You've got me well and truly hooked.

I agree, I forgot to say in the last post, but I've always wanted to see the baby pictures. Too cute, but we need the art for what Janine looked like pregnant.

I'm glad Janine wasn't too, um, "verbally abusive". To my mind, that would have wrecked it a bit. I get a bit sick of reading childbirth portrayed like it is in sit-coms. As it is, you did well, Fritz, in my humble opinion.
Like the rest of us, I eagerly anticipate the sequel.

On balance, you are probably right. Too much screaming and shouting would detract from the emotion of the scene. I just imagined that when some of the most mild-mannered women turn the air blue while giving birth, that someone as feisty as Janine might have done doubly so, but I do agree that too much of it really wouldn’t have worked here.

Firstly, I just adore the cute little baby picture of Eden Marie and Johnathan Christopher. They are so gorgeous with their little scientific equations on their romper suits. Actually... heh... I found them a little creepy. Practice. Practice. Practice. I suppose we can tell from the suggestions what the popular vote for who 'they' are. It further expands the House of M idea... but we shall see how it goes.
