I finally put up a link to one picture I'd uploaded months ago. I'd meant to do this when I put Part 4 up, but it slipped my mind. On the Spoilers page: Robo Buster X-2 Inspired by the design in the original episode, but made a little sleeker and more human. Over fifteen years ago, when I was running a GBI campaign, I ran a story where Robo Buster was rebuilt, and came up with a revised design. Now I revived the design to use for Nodus's army of battle droids...I mean, heck, he bought out Grossjuck, right? Why not?

Why did I think Transformers when I saw that? Looks a lot better than the original R-B, I know that. Still no match for a well-aimed proton blast!

Why did I think Transformers when I saw that? Looks a lot better than the original R-B, I know that. Still no match for a well-aimed proton blast! I freely admit I was probably channelling some Transformers G1, specifically around Season 3 (ie Kup and Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime) when I did that design. I loved the way they drew the Transformers back then---nowadays they insist on making them look exactly like the toys, and thus often miss an element of sleekness. But I digress... Along with this bump, part 7 is well under way. I tentatively hope to have it done for November 13 release (the same day as the possible Ectozone overhaul) but I won't set that in stone until the story is actually done.

I really think Part 7 will be the conclusion. It may be a little longer than the average chapter length, but it should wrap things up.
More or less.

Ghostbusters: Gemini Rising, Part SevenJune 13, 1999--Ghostbusters Omnibus Timeline Year Seventeen In the extra-length conclusion, the Ghostbusters and the Gemini Twins confront Josiah Nodus, a man who has literally torn the universe apart. The key to victory will hinge on understanding the mind-blowing answers to one simple question: Why is he doing this?!

And once again, Fritz manages to blow our minds (or at least mine)... WOW...Many questions answered, and a few shockers. I'll post more ideas after everybody has had a chance to read it, as I don't want to spoil it. First off, I didn't get a sense of anything being "off", and I was really looking. Maybe Egon and Janine's reactions to things in a few places, but when you think about what they were going through (especially with Janine being pulled into this right after giving birth to twins), it's not a stretch to think that emotionally Egon especially would be really raw. And I loved his line to Nodus about turning Janine loose on him. Just what I knew he'd say! GBI members being nothing but a bunch of message board posters? Satire, or a hard truth? ;D Is this the first mention of Peter's "other" fate? And if Egon made the choice we know he made, how could the other character exist? I know it involved diverging timelines, but I'm still just a teeny bit confused. And Fritz still leaves us with a mystery (read the very end) ! Ah, yes, the inpatient ones are now very happy...

Terrific conclusion Fritz, I am so glad that you put this out as is! Now on to the spoilers: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
First off, I don’t know what you were so worried for, seems in the fashion of GB to me! I think it all sounds right. Honestly, with your love of Star Wars, and Nodus’ description, I already had that part figured, but I like it! It was interesting to see exactly how things played out.
And I liked the ending very much, just pick it up where they left off. I think it was a very interesting writing technique to build up this prophecy and then have it be false. And Peter was actually shocked speechless! Awesome-ness abounds.
My only nit pick is Egon still seems to be in denial about how his not telling Janine about them after her accident led to her leaving, it was something that he did. He needs to realize that… Maybe he should have gone back in time a little further, lol.
And of course I can’t avoid mentioning that this is Egon’s own personal version of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ this close to Christmas, lol. Life happens when you are busy making other plans, that’s something I am glad that Egon is beginning to realize. And I know that he will enjoy being a father, (mostly because I wrote it that way (shamelessly plugs for ‘A New Nightly Ritual’))
And I am very interested to find out what exactly John’s destiny will be, since Eden is apparently excluded. We know there is mention of him some 200 years later…
What else can I say, I love the Omnibus Timeline!
