I'm really glad your Grandma's okay. If you need any time then just forget about us. We'll be here waiting and playing twister 'till you get back.
It's a huge, mega story you've created and this is the big finale (or maybe not?), so of course you are going to be feeling weird about it, but the way you've written it so far, I just know the pay-off is going to be great. ;D

Practically the 11th hour when I started writing it... but I've now sent Fritz my review.
Hopefully most of it will be helpful... although I'm intrigued to see what the other reviewers who send in emails thought of the story in it's whole.
Regardless, hopefully we'll know soon if Fritz will release it, or rework it a little.

...The other thought it was just fine. I guess one more is the tie-breaker. That sounds like me. What I will say is, it's brave. But I don't think anyone who really follows Fritz's stories, and certainly none of the lovely people here, is going to hate it. I'm not going to speak for anyone else, but I have a strong belief that if you showed it to any one of the impatient ladies here, Fritz, she would tell you to go for it. And I'm so glad your grandmother's all right. I know how it is - my grandmother went into hospital when I was eight, and when she came out she was dead. It was one of the most horrible things any of us has ever gone through (especially for my mother and my aunts), and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I wish all of you well.

Quite agreed, without revealing anything I can understand why Fritz wanted as many reviews from the Betas to help him decide. I'd like to echo Rosey's sentiment as well... having lost my Grandmother on my mother's side a number of years ago... I can appreciate the circumstances... especially with both of them going into hospital in their later life. But, as always... the message stands. Real life always takes priority over our hobbies and pleasures. How old is she, by the way? And is she a spritely in the way we'd all hope to be in old age?

Unless I have another nerve attack, or something else happens, the story will be out tomorrow. Grandma's going to be 91 on December 25--but even now I swear she's got more energy than I do. She's my Mom's Mom, and only remaining grandparent: Dad's Mom died when I was about six, Mom's Dad went in 1984, and then Dad lost his Stepmon and Dad two years apart in '98 and 2000. I've been joking for years she'll probably outlive me...that hit a bit close in 2004, though. Anyway, thanks everyone for your kind words. I hope after all of this the final result is worth the wait.

Update (in order of story occurance): Ghostbusters: Pandora's Box Part 1Chronology: March 1991 Done. Not exactly difficult, really, as all I did was adapt and tweak the Real Ghostbusters Annual #1 story. I'll be sending it to my beta readers very soon. Chronicles of Gozer Part 6Chronology: June 8, 2004 In Progress. I've written a number of scenes I'll be sending to the CoG staff soon. There's still a long way to go, but I hope I can light a fire or two and not have to do most of the work on this myself. GBWC: From This MomentChronology: September 3, 2006 In Progress. I'll be needing to contact some GBI members about this one. GBWC: Training DayChronology: January 2007 In Progress. This might be the next story to be finished; it kind of depends on which way the winds of interest blow over the next couple weeks. Ghostbusters 2024: A Few PointersChronology: 2024 Done. It will also be sent to the beta readers soon. It's a short character piece, and a tie-in to Ghostdiva's story "A Different Kind of Hero" discussed here: ectozone.proboards31.com/index.cgi?board=gbff&action=display&thread=1109989655&page=1

Ok, I don't how many people know this, but Fritz was appearenttly right about when the Ghostbusters started up, even Sony said so. I got the two-disk gift pack a week ago and when I look at the scrap book, on every page it had a space that said that everything in it was classified by Venkman in 1983.

I really don't want to go into details, but it's been a bad week for me and the short story I was originally planning to release tomorrow, "A Few Pointers", is going to be delayed.
Some things are more important than the internets, and I just haven't had the time or the will to write the new pages I would need to upload.
I apologize, and hope that's enough.

...I apologize, and hope that's enough. More than. Don't worry about us - just worry about yourself. (Haha - does that have less weight coming from a beta reader? )

Thanks, Guys. I'm shooting to have "A Few Pointers" out Saturday, Feb. 3. I know it's unusual since I usually put out new stuff on Monday, but Feb 3 is a day of some small personal significance.
