I wish I had better news to give, but I feel like I owe it to everyone, and myself, to get this out there. I haven't written much GB stuff lately. I don't know when I'll be writing much GB stuff yet. I'm not giving up. I want to get that f**king Chronicles of Gozer done and off my back. I have so much I've been building up with the Ghostbusters West Coast. So much I still plan to do. I just can't muster much enthusiasm to do it right now. My brain runs in cycles. I have various interests, and at different times different things are running hot and cold. Right now, Ghostbusters is running very very cold. After all the epic stories I put out over the last year or so, I feel tapped out. I ground out a little bit of CoG a few weeks ago, but I just look at it and hate myself it's so awful...I'm crapping it out just to get it done. There are other things dominating my interests right now. The recent developments that Digimon is apparently coming back have sparked a renewed passion for that property. I've spent weeks "creatively procrastinating" on GB stories by working to get my Digital Ectozone site rebuilt. I've even been inspired to dabble in that area of fan fiction again--nothing new yet for Digimon Quest, for the two people that followed it, but something that might be even better, as it uses characters from the actual cartoons. I won't say it's going to be a complete wash for my GB work, though--some of you may remember that stupid crossover "Digibusters" I started but never finished. Well hell, guess what, Part 3 of that is almost done after only a two year hiatus. There'll be at least one more part after that, but anyway... I'm not giving up. I know how my mind works--just as quickly as GB went cold, it'll warm up again. I'll get this stuff done. I apologize for letting everyone down like this, and hope I've earned at least a little bit of patience.

Sometimes I turn my back on my work for months...even years; then, some event will relight the torch again. Have faith, Grasshopper.

My brain runs in cycles. I have various interests, and at different times different things are running hot and cold. Fritz, I really hate it when I tell somebody about a problem I've had and the first word of their reply is "I" - perhaps you're the same. But with that said: I get like that, and I completely understand. There's no need to apologise. I - oops - know the feeling, and I usually give up on something like that. I'm not advising you to give up, that's entirely your decision - but in my experience, the end result is never worth it. If you're hating it, that doesn't sound good - and I know I haven't given you anything like enough encouragement with it, and I'm sorry about that. There are reasons for that I'd rather not go into here - not that I'm egotistical enough to think the whole problem or any significant proportion of it is down to me, but still, I feel that I must apologise. Well, this is enough sitting here and talking about myself (how did that happen??). Fritz, for goodness' sake, go and do something you want to do and don't worry about us.

The thing is, Gozer is a gaping hole in our continuity. It "needs" finishing because, at the absolute minimum, there's one story Jeremy Hicks wrote like two years ago that we can't put out because it builds on some elements of Gozer's ending. I'm not so much resentful that this got "dumped" on me as I am that I can't find the enthusiasm for it. And maybe I can't find the enthusiasm because of the knowledge of how big this is intended to get, and the vicious cycle of the longer it gets delayed the better it had better be to justify the three year wait for it. Though at least I feel better knowing I didn't con thirty bucks from everyone first

Fritz, for goodness' sake, go and do something you want to do and don't worry about us. I couldn't agree more! Do what you want to do. This is your place, after all. I can totally appreciate how difficult it must be to churn some of these stories out on a semi-regular basis, especially some of the mind-twisting ones you've written fairly recently. If this is a bit of a writer's block, then I'm sure you'll get over it in time. I know it must be frustrating, especially if you've got stuff piling up, but I've got faith in you, and I'm sure everyone else does, too. No pressure here, just some good wishes and a beverage of your choice. ;D

I understand completely, as my interests cycle, too. Between GB and the stuff I'm doing with my local Six Flags America fangroup (involving frequent park visits), and what's going on with an upcoming Weird Al concert here in Baltimore (I'm the scout for where the bus will be, and involved with a fan get-together), plus a job I'm getting ready to start, I'm stretched a bit thin. But once things cool down, and my interests cycle around again (after the concert's over/park closes), I'll be back really heavy. Just as long as you don't disappear on us, it's all good, as my son would say.

Okay. Here's the situation right now.
At long last, "Digibusters Part 3" is done.
My "old" Digimon site is just about finished; the old urls do not work though. Cyberturf is gone, and the digimon.ectozone.net subdomain is not redirected to the new host yet, and won't be until I decide to do the full reopen on it.
I've also done some minor tweaking to the first two parts of "Digibusters"; as they came out two years ago, and have been unavailable for almost half that time, I'm going to kind of "rerelease" them before putting out Part 3
Part 1 will be rereleased April 30--next Monday.
Part 2 will be rereleased Monday, May 7
And the debut of Part 3 is scheduled for the Ectozone's fourth anniversary, Sunday May 13.

I recall this story & liked it in spite of no interest in Digimon; looking forward to the re-releases.

Digibusters Part Four
Done. It will be posted next Monday, May 28.
Next story will probably be part 3 of "Pandora's Box" Yeah, back to ones that "count"...though that doesn't mean "Digibusters" is finished, either. There'll be at least one more chapter, maybe even two if I get verbose again.

Latest update:
Ghostbusters: Pandora's Box, Part Three Done I told you I wasn't giving up on the GBOT canon stories, right? The Beta group should have the temp url later today or tomorrow, and I'm slating it for release next Monday, June 4.
(Untitled GBWC Story) In Progress I have a few gags, and some scenes relating to recent and upcoming changes to the GBWC status quo, and an idea for a plot, I just gotta get to work and tie it together.
Digibusters, Part 5 In Progress Might be the conclusion of the story, might not depending on how verbose and how many digital kitchen sinks I want to throw into it. Part 4 comes out today, by the way.
