Well, sh*t... ...looks like the SciFi channel has decided to cleverly make a show about Vincent Belmont and give him the name "Harry Dresden." Anyone think I should give Louis Tully a call? www.scifi.com/dresden/

Lol...Aidan Munroe has talked about this property. I guess it started as a series of novels--he actually floated the idea of using him as a guest star, and after reading the material I said "We definitely better check with Vince first..." www.answers.com/main/ntquery?s=harry+dresden&gwp=13

I saw this, I had the exact same thought. At least it gives me a better idea of the wizarding side of your character, I hope the show picks up the pace, though. It has a lot of potential but the supernatural issues in the story are a little boring right now to me, there is a "Bufffy" feel to it that does not work, in my opinion. Definately get Tully on that. ghostdiva

There are a few key points in both novels and TV shows that conflict with what we have already. "The seven Laws of Magic" is one of them. The Order of Hermes breaks them regularly. Hell, VINCENT breaks them regularly. "The White Council" would pretty much be "The Order of Hermes." Setup's a little different. Magic is real and mainstream, but the public, by and large, decides not to believe in it. Harry is listed in the phonebook under "wizards." ...The Order of Hermes takes many precautions to remain secret. Vincent himself refrains from using magic around non GBI employees. When magic must be used in front of people, he either makes it look coincidental, or he uses "the arcanum" (aiding an observer's tendancy to disbelieve what they saw or pass it off as a hallucination). I made this post because my friends and I saw an advertisement on TV for this show, and one of them said "Look, it's the Vincent Belmont show!" I chuckled, and said "Well I'll be damned..."
