Talk about your favorite websites--GB or non-GB. A couple of non-GB sties I frequently visit... Slate MagazineOkay, it's run by the Evil Empire, Microsoft, but it's a great site with news and political commentary, as well as some great humor. They keep track of "Bushism: The Accidental Wit and Wisdom of George w. Bush" (the latest mangled words and phrases from the "President") and every day you can read the latest installment of Gary Treaudeu's Doonesbury. Anime Jump.com ForumGB fans may find it eerily familiar looking (it runs off the same phpbb program as the late Ghostbusters Central); as you might guess, it's an anime board with a distinct attitude. Strong recommedation: lurk for a while before posting. I don't post often, but visit frequently.

GameFAQsI'm sure everyone on the internet has heard of this place, but the point is, I post on some of the message boards there just about every day. In fact, I've been doing so for over three years now. IGN FilmforceEveryone knows IGN too, I'm sure. I check the Filmforce page once a week or so. ComiX-FanA website devoted to news and discussion about comic books. They cover every company now, but used to be called X-Fan and devoted primarily to the X-Men, so Marvel is definitely the dominant topic there. At least there's a hell of a lot less jackasses than at Newsarama, though... Final Fantasy: Worlds ApartA website for fans of the Final Fantasy video games. I specifically stick to the Fan Fiction section of the message boards. It's got some of my favorite works ever. I particularly reccomend "FF7: Redux, Remix, and Revenge"... The Soul Calibur.Com Message BoardsThe forums for the official website of one of my favorite video games. I link straight to the forums because the rest of the site isn't very impressive. It hasn't even been updated in like a year. Anyway, I'm not registered there, but I check the Fan Art section of their forums all the time for pics of my favorite characters. I believe that covers all of the "regulars"...that just leaves my infamous list of webcomics I read. Behold...THE LIST! Penny Arcade! The most popular webcomic there is, I believe. It's basically about a pair of gamers named Gabe and Tycho. 8-Bit TheaterA sprite comic retelling the plot of the game Final Fantasy 1 in extremely humorous fashion. RPG WorldA parody of popular RPGs like Final Fantasy VII, with an entertaining ongoing plot all it's own. Adventurers!Much like RPG World, but with more jokes and randomness, and in a three-panel funnies page-style format. Bob and GeorgeA sprite comic starring the characters of the Mega Man games, plus some originals (namely, the title characters). Critical FumbleAn original comic using sprites from an old Capcom D&D game. Part comedy, part serious plot, just like RPG World, It's basically about a party of adventurers...umm, adventuring, in a typical Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Life of RileyThe site recently crashed, so it's currently down for maintainence, but normally, it's an original, hand-drawn comic which is more about plot than comedy. The characters include a vampire, a half-succubus and her demonic family, a bunch of angels and demi-goddesses who may or may not all be lesbians, and a guy based on the author himself, who has Matrix-like super powers. MegatokyoOne of the most well-known and popular along-side Penny Arcade, MT is a manga-style comic about a pair of American guys who are stuck in Japan and, umm...hijinks ensue. Real LifeMore or less just like Penny Arcade in style and humor. A partially-fictionalized account of the day-to-day life of the artist. Player vs. PlayerThe third of the three most well-known webcomics, beside PA and Megatokyo. PvP's a newspaper strip-style comic about the staff of a video game magazine. Mac-HallAnother PA-style comic. This one's about the lives of a bunch of college students. Ctrl-Alt-DeleteAnother variation on Real Life's theme...except there's a robot made out of an Xbox involved.

Buy and sell shares, and win or lose a fortune in cyber-money. www.godawful.netGodawful Fan Fiction. This is how not to write fan fiction. One of my current favorites: videogamedc.comThis guy does some [glow=red,2,300]fantastic[/glow] flash work. I highly recommend the Mack Daddy Mario series, as well as the Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom films. And for you SW fans out there, "Zelda- Episode One." Look under VG Flash Films, and you'll find it. Who needs a wooden swoi=rd when youn got a lightsaber???

You officially made my day with this link.
Although on the other hand, my life was a whole lot richer before I became familiar with the term "assbabies"...
But I'm thinking of signing up, actually. I saw a piece of RGB crapfic on the old GBC board (the one where the GBs kill Bin Laden) that would go down a "treat" there...

I saw a piece of RGB crapfic on the old GBC board (the one where the GBs kill Bin Laden) that would go down a "treat" there... I checked it out too, and it reminded me of a fic I had to proofread back in the days I did fan fic approvals for GBN...it was definitely in the "stupid-ass crossover" variety, a brain-f**k that included the Power Rangers, Digimon, Pokemon, Spider-Man, Transformers, and probably more that I didn't catch. Oh the pain...worst of all, I may have to go see if this thing is still up...

I didn't see a GB section, thank goodness. *cheers loudly* I could make a really smart remark here, but I won't. Anyway, they might be in the crossovewr section, but I didn't have the courage to look. That and I don't want my computer to melt. Here's one devoted to MY favorite game: chronoshock.comChrono Trigger fans unite! (and maybe one day we'll get a decent sequel)

Samurai Jack...grife, that guy was the bane of the community for a couple of years. Chad banned that idiot like six times, but he kept coming back like a rash. He was "Kingdom Hearts" right before the old GBN closed up (so yeah, that's him bumping his own thread like a year later), then was called "Chocolate Milk", "Death", and more that I'm sure I've blotted out of my memory. He basically made GBCentral's Perpetual Ban This Asshole Immediately List.

Forgotten NY Things most tour books won't tell you about in NYC. Great for haunted building ideas for Ghostbusters stories.
