...I just got one of James Van Hise's jokes.
Now's RGB Vol.1 #3:
I was looking through some of my DC Millenium Editions (reprints of some of their keystone issues, the only way anyone like me could claim to own a copy of Detective Comics #27 ) and came across one that hit me like a lightning bolt...
RGB#3 featured shambling swamp monsters.
House of Secrets#92
The first appearance of Swamp Thing.
House Of Secrets #92
Argh...

lol. I do that sometimes. Especially with the titles of the eps. A majority of them are the names of actual movies. Also, I seem to hear a lot of the 'real' stories of many of the villians in EGB. Like Lilith in "A Temporary Insanity' I found that quite telling. ghostdiva

Hey, I didn't know it WAS a joke. I didn't either until I found that comic. I abbreviate books when I file them, and when I wrote the abbreviation for House of Secrets #92--HOS92--I went "Wait a f***ing minute..."

Heh, the mark of a good author (Or bad one, depending on how you look at it) is when they write stuff which you still discover or work out years after buying the thing it was mentioned in. Sly work by Mr. Hise... but then, knowing our own community's ficcers' penchant for mixing in hidden references in codes and such... it isn't a huge surprise. ;D
