Season 4 or Season 5: Which Is Worst?

I notice the show's lowest points "Slimer!" aside is IMHO Seasons 4 & 5. And I think I should ask the the question which is worst? Confused you say, well here's the stats:

Season 4:
Notable Best Episodes From The Season:
Partners In Slime, Elementry My Dear Winston, The Ghostbusters Live! From Al Capone's Tomb, & Future Tense.
Notable Worst Episodes From The Season:
Jailbusters, Ransom Of Greenspud, Three Men And An Egon, & Kitty Cornered

Season 5
Notable Best Episodes From The Season:
Janine You Changed, Haunting Of Heck House, Russian About, & Ghostworld
Notable Worst Episodes From The Season:
Stay Tooned, The Magnificent Five, The Slob, Deja Boo.

I'm not voting yet...I have to think about this one...

I think Season 4's best didn't quite make it as good as Season 5's best ("Janine You've Changed" being featured on quite a few favorite episode of all lists) but then again, Season 5's worst may have actually sucked even more than 4's.

Tough call.

Season 4 I thought was OK for the first half. "Future Tense" is a classic, "Partners In Slime", "Something's Going Around", "The Halloween Door" and "Elementary, My Dear Winston" were good, "If I Were A Witch Man" was OK if a bit uneven. While I wasn't to keen on "Three Men And A Baby" or "Jailbusters", for various reasons.

Then they cut the episode length to 15 mins and that really hindered things, although I liked a few of those eps like "It's About Time" and the Ghostmaster one.

Season 5 had about five or six eps I liked: "Ghostworld", "Very Beast Friends", and the ones written by JMS. All the others ranged from mediocre to dire. Plus, why did they throw out the original music? That was a bonehead move.

The winner = Season 4.

A more difficult question to answer might be: if S4 and S5 get released on DVD, will you buy them?

Season 5 was redeemed for me only by "Janine, You've Changed" and the return of JMS.

I'd buy either one, since I have to admit that no season totally bit. But they have to be available...Sony???
