Excuse me for my rant.
But what the sodding Hell is taking Proboards so long for? They said it'd be down 24-36 hours AT MOST, it's probably been down a week and still no sign of it opening any time soon, I know that their service was pretty good, but sites and forums can lose traffic and potential members because of it, plus the main stronghold for Omnibus Timeline stories and the damage control for she who shall not be named is out of action, it can only be viewed by the ADMIN I believe...

I noticed. I want to go over there, but...I'll just keep trying.
btw, do I have to register there, or is it automatic since I'm here?

It's a seperate board, so you'll have to register there seperately. I share your frustration, Ben, believe me. As I understand it, the owner of Proboards, Pat Clinger, became ill while doing the upgrades of servers 1-19; he began the process of upgrading servers 20-27 (which includes the Omnibus Board and GBWC; if you went to them back on the 13th, the "Now Upgrading" flash display was up) but became to ill to continue. He stopped the process and they reverted to the current software. The Guardian and I had both taken the same actions in preparation for the upgrade: we'd removed the codes from those boards, and emailed all the members about the upgrade. We agreed to leave the boards in Maintenance Mode and put up the apologies for the delay, not thinking it'd take thislong. I'm waiting to see how things go with the upgrade, but I'll tell you: I'm already giving some thought to moving over to Forumer and getting one of those nifty PHPBB boards like everyone else seems to have right now...

I think it shows then that no web based project can really operate properly with only one person.

Good news:
The "Now Upgrading" flash animation is back up at the Omnibus Board. Barring another delay, the Omnibus and GBWC boards should be upgraded by this time tomorrow (more or less)

Well, that's good to hear I suppose, so hopefully we should have the board back up soon.
