Spoiler Warning: If you haven't read the book yet, you might want to skip this article. You have been warned.
Where to start? Howabout the beginning...
The bust at Krazy's, like the train bust in #1, once more took me back to 1986...I could just about hear Frank Welker and Lorenzo Music bantering about Krazy's Secret Silly Sauce and it's "mystery clown spices" And then the payoff which both humanizes Egon yet deepens his wierdness at the same time--brilliant.
Janine: Thanks, guys, no big changes but just enough to satisfy me. A few earrings and a green sweater vest for some color, and she looked scads better than in #1. Hang in there on Egon, JM, we know from the solicitation for regular series #2 that Minor Spoiler you'll be getting your chance soon. End Spoiler
Venkman and Dana: I had to stop a second to realize it was Dana because her hair's a completely different color (was it darker in the second printing too? I haven't tracked that one down yet...) Yipes, does Venkman mess up this issue...again, we know these two aren't necessarily destined to go down the breakup/AndreWallance/Oscar road as in Previous Continuity, but it's sure easier and easier to see how that happened.
Draverhaven: Yeah, he makes a nice, creepy impression scaring those two sceptical girls. I definitely look forward to finding out more about what this guy's damage is next issue.
Hair In Jokes: Two of them for the animation fans...the more obvious one is Egon imagining himself in a familiar looking spiral look (Actually, it looks good on him ) The less obvious (and possibly unintentional) one is the "ten years ago" shot in the last panel...that mullet Venkman's sporting looks a lot like the one he had in "Back In the Saddle"
Another superb story, guys; well worth the wait.
