I also visited the old site and I remember a lot of the stuff when I first joined. I had one question wasn't there a lot flame wars and fights happened? Like the Kingdom Hearts incidient and many other things?

Kingdom Hearts was a spammer. He'd previously been on the board as Samurai Jack.
Grife, I still think about that guy whenever someone mentions the video games...
I think the funniest spammer was one who, after being banned, had the sheer balls to sign up with a user name that was, approximately, ChAdBaNnEdMe.

Woah! And Chadbannedme also was a spammer, too? And does anyone remember Mario? He was on there and then he got banned for something he did.

I think Mario was a little before my time. I only recall seeing that username as "Banned" I distinctly remember when Brian Reilly got banned from there, after questioning Chad about the deletion of the "It's Coming!" thread. It's after that Brian started his own board, which didn't last very long but gave me my very first Mod job. Well, and then there's always Bo's fights with Chad. But that belongs in an entirely different category

Yes that is so true! And remember these users called, Maria, Masama Bin Laden and Mary Spengler? And they gave a couple of fanfic writers bad raitings since the story was well written. They caused trouble in the community and then got themselves banned.

Ah, first post - I was very polite. Jackalman99, I think. He (or maybe it was a she, I seem to remember getting that impression a time or two) liked EGB, but had some odd ideas. Probably the oddest was Eduardo having the hots for Janine (WTF? ) That's the one. I seem to remember someone (possibly Fritz, but equally possibly not) demanding evidence for the Eduardo/Janine thing. None was forthcoming. There just isn't any. Oh, and I'm 80% sure she's a woman. Even I was treated to one of this woman's rather weird desires... the majority of fics had Kylie with Eduardo... was she somehow expecting something different? "Insanity: Doing the same thing and expecting a different result." We're not about to break canon for someone's distorted whim. Not exactly a comment that won many fans of Jackalman, either. Comment on "Ghostbusters U.K.- The war that shook the world…"For added nostalgia: my very first post at Ghostbusters.net (Although, some would argue that the my first post of significance concerned the Ecto-1/Ecto-1A naming convention ( archive.ghostbusters.net/disscussion/ghm/1/6748/ ) (Wow, Ken Heugel actually posted at GBN back in those days ) Funny when I look back on it... nothing big ever came of those Sims objects... and in the end they became such a bane of my existance for a time. The Ghostbusters Fact List - GBN ArchiveHah ha! Oh wow... so long ago, and the beginning of three friendships that would shape things so many things to come. I can't even remember why I started it exactly... I just did. ;D Hopefully once GBI has all 140 episodes online... I can begin an extensive reworking of the Fact List which'll include an Extreme Ghostbusters expansion. Although, in terms of the firsy broken promise by Clavet... if I remember it correctly from Chad, it was because he was talking about and releasing things he wasn't actually able to do so at that time. Although I wish Chad had simply moved the topic to a holding pen... instead of deleting it. As is, the few pages I've been able to access only scratch the surface of the whole topic. There was a great deal more creativity in the community back then... Ah well, a lot's happened in four years.

Yeah, some stuff that went on over there was really wild...
And I remember the fun we had putting the fact list together. I'm glad I had that novel. It seemed to help a lot.
