Okay, I know that I have missed a few birthdays since I was froced to go to dial up, I got tired of my posts getting eaten and of the hopefully only a memory "page can not be displayed" page, so I apologize to all of my good buddies whose birthday's I missed and I want to wish you all a belated happy birthday.
Now, I think EGBFn's birthday is a great opportunity to get back on the birthday wagon, so I sincerely wish you a very wonderful bitrthday, full of your new co workers bugging you and cake that you have to pretend tastes good and a big glass of wine and a warm bath, Rosey. To the person on the internet I most look forward to reading emails from...have a happy birthday.
Thanks to everyone for their best wishes - and Ghostdiva, I did have a warm bath actually, but no wine. Blargh, horrible staff. The cake was very good, and there's still plenty left - I feel faintly appalled by how much I ate yesterday (diet starts up again tomorrow, once the cake's finished), and astonishingly there was just no room for (more) cake at the end of it all.
My brother started venting his frustrations when I opened my present from him: two books I wanted, plus £15 to put towards Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. He was most upset - he wanted to pre-order it for me and pay for the whole thing (he and I agree that giving money is very impersonal - I mean, it's fine for aunts and people, but he knows me better than anyone), but "They only let you put down a three pound deposit!"
I also now have my name on my bedroom door in brightly coloured wooden letters with little faces - I had completely forgotten that I said I liked my cousin's baby boy's Christening present from my mother back in March.
