Extreme Ghostbusters: Dreams Reborn, Part OneBy EGB Fan, Ben King, and Fritz Baugh December 1997--Timeline Year 15 Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Winston Zeddemore have returned to the company they helped build. Is there still a place for Eduardo, Kylie, Roland, and Garrett? ------------- This is a thematic sequel to As Dreams Fade, and even if you don't normally read EGB stories, the original Ghostbusters play a big part in this story. Think of it this way: if you liked "Back In The Saddle", this is a sort of companion piece. And if you maybe didn't like "Back In The Saddle"...maybe this will be a good replacement...

I actually kinda like it, and I do think there's something for everybody.

I am very very excited about this part... Extreme Ghostbusters: Dreams Reborn, Part TwoBy EGB Fan, Ben King, and Fritz Baugh A major development in Egon and Janine's relationship leaves the newer Ghostbusters--especially Kylie--feeling more alienated than ever. E/J Notice When I said "major development" I mean it!!! This story includes an important event for them in the GBOT continuity! All of my fellow shippers will be pleased, I can virtually guarantee it. Which also means, in the off chance Sarah is reading this...you probably won't

Thanks, guys. This story was much-anticipated, and I love it. The Egon/Janine stuff was absolutely perfect. The tone, the mood, the setting... Wonderful. I also loved the Kylie/Eduardo interaction, and the way in which their relationship parallels that of Egon and Janine's in the earlier years. I'm beginning to share Peter's frustration. Geez, you can't leave it there! When's the next update due? I'm dying to read more.

Okay... First of all I just want to let you guys know that I did refrain from posting until I finished the story. I am really not sure what my coment should be... This may be the most emotionally moved I have ever been over a story. I don't think I have ever read a story with Egon proposing to Janine. It was how I would have wrote it. I was just in tears. It was a wonderful wonderful scene. I would like to see a story were the EGBs find out everything about Egon and Janine's past. That should be an interesting story. I would also like to see a story were Janine gets really mad at Louis once she gets her memory back, for not reminding her that they were not together before she lost her memory. I also loved the EGB stuff: Poor Peter he finally disarms one gun just to turn around and find another pointed in his face, I am of course talking about Kylie and Eduardo. I am glad to see them together, although I am not sure how I feel about them wanting to get together just to keep from making the same mistakes Egon and Janine did. Okay now the nitpicky stuff: This story raised a lot of questions for me. One of them being this... When the third movie was originally being rumored it was said that Louis would be Louis Tully ESQ. Meaning that he was really rich. I am guessing that that did not make it into the timeline? Because you had a part in their about Janine having worked at a daycare center. Also another nagging question, which I really should just overlook in the grand scheme of things is this. Where is Rays baby? You say he has a baby and that he has some top secret wife who keeps getting called away on business, so if he is there and his wife is travelling for her job where is the baby? I know it's a really stupid thing to ask, but I did. Is there going to be a story explaining Ray's family. Well I absolutely can't wait for developments. The story wwas great. ghostdiva

I would like to see a story were the EGBs find out everything about Egon and Janine's past. Interesting thought. I'll see what I can do... It might be a little while yet - there are two projects I'll probably want to get done first (but I'm actually pretty fast) - and I may have to wait until Fritz is a little less busy so I can plague him with annoying questions. ;D This isn't supposed to be a shameless plug - it's just if you happen to be interested - the Eduardo and Kylie chronicles are my pet project and they can all be found here: www.fanfiction.net/u/653385/There are rather a lot, but "Heads or Tails?" is the most Ed/Ky-centric by miles and it explains their own reasons for getting together. Ok, so maybe Peter wants them to get on with it just so they don't bug him with it - but I kinda hoped their own personal stuff was coming across as pretty genuine. Fritz can explain to you about Eric and Mrs. Ray better than I can. I do know something, but it's pretty much nothing to do with me and I don't want to give anything away. Thanks for the very positive feedback. I guess Fritz's parts are what win over the RGB fans and obviously the E/J shippers... I knew that would happen.

EGB Fan I have totally been reading all of the juicy stories you post on fanfiction.net. I love them. Please continue away. Iespecially love how you have completely made Jessica Venkman your own. She is turning out to be quite the developed character. Insite into the lives of the guys without ghost being involved is always very interesting. If you need a plot summary for that story about the EGBs finding out everything I have one you can have, PM me about it. ghostdiva

I admit it--I got choked up a time or two myself writing it. I make little secret of the fact that these two are possibly my favorite couple in all of popular fiction, and trying to make it right was important to me. Egon Spengler is never going to be a gushing, mushy man...but despite what some people seem to think, he's not some emotionless android. And he's spent six years being reminded pretty much every day, by his own lonliness, of the price of retreating into logic one time too many before cost him. And I wanted it to be honest--there's some very frank discussion, I think, about what's gone wrong with their relationship. They're not perfect. But they belong together--and in the end, that's all that matters. I'm glad you liked it. Well, the GB3 treatment is still, at the moment, and likely always will be, just that--a treatment. Nothing associated with it will be seriously considered until the movie gets made. And then we'll have to deal with the plagues of locusts, hell freezing over, dogs and cats living together, and thunder and lightning in a snowstorm, so we'll have other things to worry about. I have plans for Louis Tully, believe me. We *know* he's fated to rejoin the Ghostbusters' organization to manage the franchising body Ghostbusters International (GBI). But yeah, there's more than one mine that's been planted if you look in the right places. And I already have the story in mind where they'll finally explode... Well, for a while we simply weren't sure who Eric Stantz's mother was, so it was necessary to write around her. Now we've pretty much agreed behind the scenes who it is, and we're just waiting for the right story to finally reveal it. In "Dreams Reborn" in specific, Ray mentions she's been given some time off for the Holidays, and is probably supervising the packing of the Stantz household for the move to New York.

Hmm, I have noticed in some of your previous stories that Louis seems quite aware of the fact that Janine didn't care about him as much as she did about Egon, and he resented that... Is that what you mean about upcoming fireworks?
