well... I was a little taken back by 'At Rest' as well when I first saw it... but c'mon? She's got to accept it sooner or later, and drop her xenophobia. The comic covers are cool so far... should be interesting to see what future ones you make.

Some of you may remember the idea floated around for Ghostbusters: Professional Paranormal Investigators, the fan comic project spearheaded by ECTO-1 (who would've been the writer). The project fell apart due to various problems of the creative team; I provided a total of seven cover concepts for the project, which I'll be posting at Deviantart one at a time every week (and in addition to the "#0" covers, I have three more "extra" covers in a similar format) The concept for the #1 cover came from ECTO-1; the first version only had the four Ghostbusters, but ECTO asked me to add some background. I did; he in turn wanted there to me more detail in the buildings--but before I got around to it the project died. Adam Bestler was originally slated to be the colorist, but for my Deviantart posting I did my own color. www.deviantart.com/deviation/23852941

www.deviantart.com/deviation/14632777/I guess since it has a "mature content" stamp it doesn't show up in the gallery unless you're logged in. That does make me think of trying to put up some links in GBHQ then...

That's a pretty cool cover Fritz. Well... I think this particular proble with the comic can be mentioned. Our slated artist wasn't able to commit, and the people we contacted weren't able to commit... We're still looking, if anyone's interested, but until then the comic's on indefinate hiatus... as with most other projects that rely on massive fan participation... Anyway, in relation to Art. Fritz, I'm doing a bunch of renders of the equipment, just to test my colouring skills... any interest in these for the Fact List pages, or are you happy with keeping your own? (Not that your own are bad)

(Not that your own are bad) Of course I'm interested. At the end of the day, the Fact List is still your idea--I just host it. I've got a picture or two of some of the EGB equipment (a PKE Meter 2.1 from a screen grab somebody made, and a Mark 2 Proton Pack I drew myself) I may add too, just for completeness. Lol...I think you can see why we have concerns about She Who Will Not Be Named seeing it... But yeah, I may try putting links to the covers up on GBHQ, knowing full well She would have to register AND not be scared away by the "mature content" filter.

That'd be a major test of her psyche, could she stay away? Or would she register and look at it. ;D

I was thinking that this morning. If she does, she doesn't have any excuse to whine. Since she had to go through all that to see it, she either a) really wanted to see it anyway, or b) wants to have something to b***h about. Either way, I really don't care.
Showed it to a friend, and she went, "OOOOOOh..." My hubby just said her ahems were a bit on the big side...*decides to end this post fast before she gets in trouble...* ;D

The next PPE cover was actually the first one I did for the project--a nice shot that includes the four Ghostbusters, Janine, ECTO-1, and the Firehouse (and if you look closely you can find Slimer and a couple other familiar faces, even though Slimer was not going to be part of the series) www.deviantart.com/deviation/24092757/The first version of the picture I drew had the Ghostbusters and backgrounds higher on the page, more in the center, with more of a dead space at the bottom. Per ECTO, I adjusted it to set the characters lower in the scene, and of course extended the Firehouse accordingly (though I missed one line across if you look closely. Oops) In addition, some background elements he thought were overdone and distracting were removed--a half size black and white of my first version can be found in my scraps section. www.deviantart.com/deviation/24092330/This picture final was actually mostly colored by ECTO-1--in his version, as would've been standard for the series, the Ghostbusters all wore tan flight suits--for my version, being maybe the only person left who prefers the different colors, they're sporting the flight suits seen in the animation. Another half size picture can be found in my scraps, this time as ECTO-1 colored it. www.deviantart.com/deviation/24092604/
