The last weekend before Memorial Day...as far as I'm concerned, summer's here! So, what's everybody doing? Me, the hubby and a friend are going to Six Flags America tomorrow (that crazy blonde screaming her @$$ off on the rollercoasters WILL be me!), then I have to work Sunday morning. Man, why can't the customers make their own darn biscuits? I think Barry wants to go to make sure I behave myself. Well, the season passes were HIS idea...and I can make the drive from my place to 6F in 25 minutes. All the park needs to do now is put up the coaster they just got from the now-closed 6 Flags Astroworld, the coaster that's in those crates behind the Wild One. Bring the Ultra Twister to SFA! Then, as if that's not enough, we're going back Memorial Day weekend, when the water park opens up. I'm cramming all the fun I can have into the next couple of weeks, since I have some (minor, I hope) surgery coming up in June, and I don't know what'll happen beyond that.

Hey, is there the big ruckus about DaVinci over in England that there seems to be everywhere else?

People seem to forget that the Davinci Code is just fiction.
That statement in the beginning of the book that "All of the stuff contained within is accurate" is either a bold-faced lie, or Dan Brown has to be the world's crappiest scholar.
If only I had the time to list all of the discrepancies.
I hate it when some guy publishes a book, claims it to be true, and everyone and their brother believes it.
I guess it helps when it talks crap about the church...then, of COURSE its believable.

Let's not turn this thread into a DaVinci Code discussion. That'd be more suited to the Crossfire forum.
This weekend will probably be like most weekends. If I'm lucky my role playing group will get together. If not, I'll try to make myself sit down and get some work done on "Where In The World Is Chelsea Aberdeen?"
My life is dull as crap.

Hey, is there the big ruckus about DaVinci over in England that there seems to be everywhere else? When I'm done with this, I'm going to start a discussion on the Crossfire board, because I know it's annoying when questions don't get answered. So, what am I doing this weekend? At this precise moment, I'm putting off writing an essay about Trainspotting (novel and film - a comparison of the two). When I eventually get off-line (I'm sure I'll find countless excuses to stay), I'll make a start on it. I need to flick through Moll Flanders for a class on Monday. There's a form I have to fill in, also to do with my course. I bought a couple of CDs about a week ago I haven't had a chance to listen to yet - I'm really hoping I'll find time this weekend. If I get all that done, I hope to have time to do a little bit of writing. Mine is the most interesting so far, right? ;D

I'll be spending the weekend re-typing the second chapter of "Ecto-Heist", as every time I try to open it from the floppy a serious error occurs. To quote Bulldog from Frasier, "This stinks! This is total B.S.!!!"
Well, at least it wasn't nearly as long as the first chapter.

You’re all making me feel really guilty that I’m not working on something. Tonight is curry night with my mates. Tomorrow I’m out shopping for Britain, with a little bit of interwebby browsing and telly watching in between. The last weekend before Memorial Day...as far as I'm concerned, summer's here! Unfortunately, we don't have that thing you call 'Summer' here in the UK. It's been extinct since 1905. We just get very, very long rainy seasons, and hosepipe bans because we are lacking in water. Figure that one out.

Nothing but mtg w/my improv gp & completing overdo housekeeping. However, next wknd I have party at an arcade/amusement vendor where theybook the machines for for 2 hrs. Then, it's cake & ice cream. I'm looking forward to playing pinball (I'm a wiz), skee ball, & old school games like pole position, donkey kong & pacman. I chase ghosts when I'm off the board, too! ;^)

Well, a sunburned, tired and sore Miss Janine is back. Now that the fun is over, I need a nap and to get some housework done. Then I work tomorrow, and do the rest of the housework I won't get done today. Rode every coaster in the park except for Joker's Jinx (saving it for another time), and rode ROAR and Typhoon Seacoaster twice. I love a twisting woodie!
The water park part of Six Flags America opens next weekend!
And that is the rest of my weekend!

I spent the weekend building up my film study guide for my final Monday, biked a bit and gonna see Over The Hedge tomorrow if my dumbass friend doesn't forget like he did tonight when I called him to make sure we were going.
Next weekend will be more eventful as it'll be when I find out if I'm gonna be returning to the single life. Joy.
