I'm pretty sure Gellar wanted it to end. She did. The reason she gave was that she didn't like the way her character was portrayed, which leads me to wonder what would have happened if some of the events of season six and seven were written differently. Sure there were a few great episodes here and there - ' Once More With Feeling' and ' Tabula Rasa' were amazing. I just think if they'd made more of the same quality, things might have been different.

The singing episode was crap. I hate musicals.

Batman Beyond. Awesome show, cancelled before it's prime. At least he's gone but not forgotten. Best part about DC toons is they always manage to get as many of the original voice actors as possible.

Yeah, well, I think they did all they could with Buffy. It had a lot of peaks and troughs: season 1 was very good, 2 was brilliant, 3 was good, 4 was awful, 5 was very good, Buffy died and they should have stopped it there. 6 was ok (though goodness knows why they didn't bring another Slayer into it, like the first time she died, what's up with that?) and 7 was dire. The singing episode was crap. I hate musicals. Hear hear! Well, it depends on the musical - I like Grease and The Little Shop of Horrors, for example - but in the context of Buffy... ARGH! I really wish they hadn't done that.

Seven was good because the show was returning to it's roots. Not angsty teen drama like Spike trying to rape Buffy, but poking fun at the horror and the banter.
And I loved 'Once More With Feeling' It was a salute to the show's absurdity and comic elements.

As long as that absurdity doesn't lead to Astonishing X-Men: The Song Book.

I agree with many of these. I thought Greg the Bunny was a wildly different concept. They never got the chance to work it out the kins & charcters. But I laughed & I like Seth Green. There are shows I'm hesitant to get hooked on for I fear they'll get cancelled. (I heard a rumor that some channel in the US will be running the new Dr. Who episodes: SciFi? BBC America?)

The Sci-Fi channel will be running the new Dr. Who episodes from March. More information here: www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/scifi.shtml
