Just wanted to wish everybody a happy new year! Here's to another year filled with GB goodness, including the wedding of the decade! (And I don't mean Storm and Black Panther over at Marvel!)

Ditto that - happy new year to you all. I have to smile. It couldn't be worse than 2005. Seriously - it's been crap. Some truly awful things happened to my mother... I won't go into it... it involved a run-in with a psychopath, I'm not kidding, she's a real life crazy person. And there were hospital visits - we still haven't had the test results (don't panic - it was completely unnecessary, total overreaction) - and emergency trips to the pharmacist to get knockout painkillers, and some truly evil people ruining lives... that isn't going into it, believe me. It's too complicated. But it's over now, and I never plan to speak of it again. So. Any resolutions? I'm gonna get fit, cut down on swearing (except in the name of art - I am still a writer, after all) and stop correcting people's grammar. No really, I am. I am I am I am. At any rate, I'm definitely gonna break the resolution record - I just need to try and get past February. There's another one too - kinda personal. Does having four resolutions increase or decrease my chances of keeping one? This chain store Boots has got this promotional offer going... "Change One Thing"... apparently if you have too many resolutions you end up breaking them all... I dunno, I'm not getting involved, it all sounds rather Big Brother to me. Hey - howbout I also resolve to stop rambling? Well, anyway, wishing everyone (particularly myself, I'm sorry, that sounds terrible, and my mother, more so) a happy and prosperous 2006.

I wrote at the end of 2004:
I'm glad 2004 is over.
Last year sucked.
2005 wasn't much better. There were bright moments--from the personal moments such as the birth my niece, to larger events like some signs of awakening in the American media and public to the collosal clusterf*** the country's been undergoing since Selection 2000--but it's been mostly about pain, dispair, and more pain and dispair. I wouldn't wish the last two years of my life on my worst enemy.

Happy New Year!
I'm nursing a very bad headache and watching Mary Poppins, trying to decipher a very strange cockney accent.
Hope you all have a great 2006!
Going to have a lie down, now. Scrolling makes me feel ill.

Happy New Year's folks! Here's hoping this year is a good one. (And here's hoping I actually keep my resolutions this time around. My track record isn't looking so good...*sigh*)

Welcome Baby New Year! Hope it's better than 2005...that's what I said in 2004, too.

Is it just me, or does Fritz's sig make me drool in anticipation?

Is it just me, or does Fritz's sig make me drool in anticipation? It's not just you. It's me as well. I feel as giddy as a school-girl just thinking about it. ;D

I resolve to try be a little more spontanious and fun seeking this year. Ah, good idea. That's encouraging. I'm not gonna let you forget that one. Since you're in that kind of mood, I think you should also try giving non-traditional poetry another chance. I'm behind you all the way on this one, Ben - break away from that British stereotype!
