Ghostbusters: WithoutThere seems no explanation for some strange coincidences involving sickness and irritating demons, but of course, why should there be...? An egocentric yarn with a lot of focus on author's original characters, and a lot of glimpses into their future. A/N: Please take a few seconds to read the dedication thanking Fritz. I can deprive him of the recognition he deserves no longer.

A/N: Please take a few seconds to read the dedication thanking Fritz. I can deprive him of the recognition he deserves no longer. I said I'd quite bringing that up and I meant it. It's a moderate spoiler that this story will set some of the status quo of certain characters up to the 2024 era. Other than that, and the fact that the GBI Timeline will be updated tomorrow to reflect some of those events, I will say no more for now.

Ok I'm going to post some of the things that I sent to EGBFan privately, I think she wants to comment on it. It contains SPOILERS so be warned!
I'm glad that Jess ended up with Hayden, they make a great couple, and the irony is of course the gem of the story. I also think it was good to see how Jessica's thought processes changed during her life, she starts internalizing things at some point and starts to rely on herself rather than her family- she grew up.
This is a great format for this story, it keeps it flowing well without adding to many superfluos details, and no I don't know how to spell that word.
Jess is a favorite character of mine, as EGBFan well knows. She is very real to me for some reason, probably because she is so well written, I don't think like she does, so almost everything she does is a complete surprise to me.
I am also really glad to see this story because now I can fit her into some of my stuff at this time period. Yeah!

Thanks for your comments, ghostdiva. I'm glad that Jess ended up with Hayden, they make a great couple, and the irony is of course the gem of the story. I also think it was good to see how Jessica's thought processes changed during her life, she starts internalizing things at some point and starts to rely on herself rather than her family- she grew up. "She grew up" about sums it up. Anyone who knows Jess will know that she's never let anyone tell her what to think, and yet her animosity towards Hayden is completely unfounded, as her demon is fond of pointing out (I think it's fairly obvious that it is her demon). Basically, I think her thought processes change from, I hate him to I want to hate him to I can't hate him. It's doubly ironic, I think, in that Jess (as she points out to Oscar) never wanted to fall in love at all. You may have guessed this already from what I've been doing, but this relationship is so much fun to write. ;D I think it helps that I wasn't planning it from the start, as writers will tend to do - I created the characters separately, and then had the idea of putting them together after Fritz made his little joke (that's the second time I've mentioned it - I think I'll stop now as well). Admittedly Hayden needed modifying after that - there was no way Jess was going to be interested in someone with no gumption. But anyway, I think it's done all three of us the world of good - even Jess, whom I feel to be one of my successes, is more rounded than she would otherwise have been. Why thank you! ;D You're not the first person to tell me they like Jessica. I wonder if she'd have so many fans if people could meet her in real life - she isn't a very nice person, really. Oh well. I don't know anyone who thinks quite the way Jessica does. It wasn't my original intention, but the more I write about her, the more I think she's a very angry sort of person. I wonder why that is. It seems that motherhood will calm her down to some extent, but she was still getting a bit shirty in her 2023 scenes, wasn't she?
