As far as the Avril thing goes, if you like her, that's fine. I don't have any particular problem with her as a musician except for "Sk8r Boi", which is a crime against humanity whose horrific tones, my corrupted memory banks will carry to the grave. It's mostly just her personality that bothers me. And the "At least she's moderately attractive" thing was meant as a joke. Anyway, it probably wasn't me you're thinking of with the outfit thing. Unless you're just making an unfounded assumption, because I did draw a Kylie that lots of people said was hot looking. I draw Kylie in the flightsuit because I just think the football shoulder armor thing looks stupid and nonsensical, and since when is a flightsuit less appropriate than the sort of spandex body-condom thing she wore underneath? You'll notice my Kylie... 1) Has her flightsuit zipped all the way up. No cleavage. Her chest isn't even that big in my pic. B-cups at best. I traced the pose off a pic of Talim from Soul Calibur II, who's supposed to be fourteen years old. 2) I gave her kneepads and different boots and gloves, and her flightsuit is black unlike the RGBs, Roland, and Garrett, so it's not like she's conforming totally. She's just dreesed more sensibly for Ghostbusting. How did the XGB trap hook to the back of the football gear anyway? It should have straps like a backpack instead. My GBWC character uses the XGB trap, and that's how I wear it. When I draw Eduardo, which I plan to do sometime in the near future, you'll note that I don't put him in a flightsuit. But Kylie always should have worn one from the second episode (recalling that she didn't join the team in the first), as she was the member of the team who respected the profession (and one of the founders in particular) the most.

Maybe you're thinking of Fritz. He draws a pretty chesty Kylie. In fact, all his women are a bit top-heavy... ;D

In fact, all his women are a bit top-heavy... ;D Hrm... gbwc.ectozone.com/gb/kylie.htmlI'm not sure how to respond to the second part of that statement. It isn't something I consciously set out to do--and I would certainly say I don't costume them to show them off the way some artists do... Now that part wasn't me. I don't think I would've ever said something like that. I honestly never remember even thinking it, either.

Hmm...Sorry Fritz, I guess she doesn't look chesty in those pics after all. I guess it's been a while since I've looked at them and I was thinking more of your Dana and Janine at the time I wrote that. Not saying there's anything wrong with the way you draw them, they don't look like porn stars or Rob Liefield characters or anything. I'm sure there's no conscious or deliberate effort to exaggerate. It was clearly yet another joke of mine in this topic that fell flat. And to think, I added a smiley this time so the humor would be more apparent. I was just trying to explain that I'm the last person that someone should be accusing of drawing sexist depictions of women. When I draw, I make very conscious decisions to make sure the poses, attire, bodyparts, etc. are all in-character. At least, according to the character as I understand him/her. The only excessively busty woman you'll find in my DeviantArt gallery is the redhead from the Final Fantasy parody thing, and like I just said, that's parody. Supermodel-looking white mage heroines are a fantasy cliche. Got a new pic up, by the way... Look, kids! It's Ray!

And the "At least she's moderately attractive" thing was meant as a joke. Actually I did realise that. So was the counter-comment meant as a joke. If you see one of these after something I've said it usually means I'm not being entirely serious. That was the picture I was thinking of, but I guess I either remembered your accompanying comments wrong or misinterpreted them. Sorry about that - although in fairness, that was a joke too. ;D I trust if you draw a pic of Eduardo he will be looking equally hot...? ;D ;D If we're having a go at Fritz (hahaha... ), he's definitely a breast man. (Fritz, your women kinda... are. I think I've made a similar comment before via e-mail.) But I know you wouldn't make a comment like that, Fritz. Actually nobody said that as such - it just occurred to me that it was implied at some point during the discussion of Jeff's picture. Hey, maybe I'm just overly sensitive and read too much into it. Again, I'm sorry. Just out of interest, do breats really need to be fairly weighty to be attractive? Well, if so I think I'm all right... I have a friend who's sailing round the world right now who made an offhand comment in school one day about how size doesn't bother him - two breasts, next to each other, that's all that really matters. Jeff, Kylie's in your picture are pretty true to her original design i.e. fairly proportionate to the rest of her, but you can still see their shape better than before. That's what got me wondering. I'm sorry. This seems to have turned into a discussion about tits.

Just out of interest, do breats really need to be fairly weighty to be attractive? Well, if so I think I'm all right... Despite complementary comments from the various men in my life, I've always considered myself to be on the small side. I used to be bigger when I was on the pill, during certain times of the month, and when I weighed slightly more, but now I'm rather unimpressed with my chest size. I have to make do with those so-called 'chicken fillet' things to boost them when I go out, and you'll never catch me wearing a bra without those little padded inserts in them. Personally, I prefer bigger boobs on a woman. I prefer the look of them, and the feel of them. I don't see a problem with larger-breasted women, in animation or in real-life, although I don't like the hugely over-inflated fake ones you see on some women (cough Jordan cough). I think the reason Fritz draws Janine with slightly larger boobs is because that is how she was drawn in RGB. I doubt whether it's a personal bias on his behalf. I think both Fritz and Jeff's drawings of Kylie are spot-on with regard to breast-size, because if I recall correctly she was quite young in EGB, and was never drawn with particularly large breasts. Though to be honest, when I watched EGB I didn't really take much notice of bust sizes, so I may very well be wrong on that. I don't think it's a sin for some men to prefer larger-breasted women. It just makes things slightly more difficult for women like me who weren't blessed by the tit fairy. I'm sorry. This seems to have turned into a discussion about tits. And what's wrong with that?! ;D ;D Got a new pic up, by the way... Your picture of Ray looks great. I love the way you've given him his goggles, but not put them on. After seeing your Kylie picture (which looks excellent, by the way), I would love to see what your version of Janine would look like.

As far as certain female attributes goes, I usually don't like them any bigger than a C-cup. When you get to the likes of Pamela Anderson, they just look comical instead of attractive.
And I too would like to apologize for this topic turning into a mini-Nightsquad.
