I was cruisin' Sony's website just now and in the previews it of course listed the 3 RGB DVD's as coming out Feb. 28. So I look over and see that ghostbusters 1 and 2 is listed to be released...March 15th? Apparently they are repackaging the two movies and releasing them seperately. The question why comes to mind, but the I wonder, are the RGB DVDs just to help sales of the movies. That seems backwards I know. What do you guys think? ghostdiva

The RGB DVDs in the works seem mostly generated towards a kiddy market... Sony has the delusion that they're gonna be able to market the show to little kids 15 years after it got cancelled. How many young kids will even know of The Real Ghostbusters? They're gonna be lucking out on the 'Oooh! What's that?!' factor.
We pray... though, that collector sets are planned to follow... they really have to release collector sets, it's the only way to stop a mob of angry fans burning their offices down.
I'm more concerned with the re-release of the movies, I mean only a collector is going to buy more than one copy of the movie. And the set that just came out sold well from what I understand, so who are they marketing these to? Other than blockbuster, I really can't see the market. ghostdiva
