Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Louis, I think he's an okay character. He just doesn't belong within 10 feet of Janine, that's all. I think he works best as a character when he doesn't a girl, any girl. This action would produce the most comical result. In the 1st film, he stalked Dana. I'm working on a novella in which Tully stalks Janine to humorous effect. In the 1st film, Janine represented a typical New Yorker. In the 2nd film, those traits had vanished. As long as he gets the business end of a proton pack (by either Janine or Egon, I'm not picky), I'm happy. ;D Yeah, I feel kinda sorry for him (thanks, Fritz!), but he needs to leave her alone! Just waitin' to see what happens to him in part 3 of Hearts in Eclipse

Me too. ;D
I was practically on the edge of my seat reading the end of part 2...
Louis is such a pathetic character that you can't help but feel sorry for him. Though he definitely doesn't belong with either of the main girls. Maybe there is someone out there for him, but it sure as heck isn't Janine or Dana. Especially not Janine.
Sometimes I think Janine and Egon are kind of like Yin and Yang. She's emotional with some logic, and he's logical with some emotion and together they make the whole.
They're so perfect together that even a toddler should be able to pick up on that. I know that I sure did when I first watched RGB, and I didn't even care about romance then. Which goes back to my previous post about being disgusted with the second movie...

You know, I never thought about the Yin and Yang thing, but I think that just might be it.

It actually just occurred to me as I was typing my post and thinking about how well those two compliment each other. They're like two sides of the same coin, and that's what made me think of Yin and Yang.

D'y'know, you people are the second most dedicated group of shippers I've ever come across. All you'd need to be first is an entire board dedicated to Egon and Janine, slightly more elaborate than this one (never mind how I found it).

Damn, Rosie, I initially thought you were referring to Arnold/Helga shippers there...

A totally E/J board would be fun, but whoever runs it would get no end of grief from someone a lot of us know.
Besides, we have this topic. ;D

Y'know, it's funny that the idea for an Egon and Janine message board should be mentioned. I was originally going to wait until I actually had the site finished and online, but I guess I'll let you guys know now. I'm working on an Egon and Janine shrine, and I was thinking about including a message board for discussions about them. Way to read my mind Rosey.

Sounds cool! As long as my #1 Shipper title stays intact...

Yuh, well, I wasn't being entirely serious. I mean, the board idea sounds great - and it sounds like part of a bigger site anyway. That Tommy/Lil of Rugrats board I found does seem a little bit overboard, though - don't you think? Especially since I didn't even know there was a ship there. Come to that, I don't think there is a ship - I think the fans are making it up. The E/J ship is not imaginary, of course. Hmm... I was about to express doubt that you lot could fill a whole board with discussion about them. But then I realised how stupid that sounds.

Well, the message board wouldn't just be about a discussion about them, it would also contain a section for general topics, a section for site improvements, etc. Well, it depends on where you live. You can be the #1 Shipper of whatever country you live in, and I'll be the #1 Canadian Shipper. The Worldwide Shipper title, however, that's something we'll have to fight over.

That he does! ;D
Okay, deal. You and I will be the #1 shippers of our respective countries, and Fritz gets the worldwide title.

Am I going to have to duke it out for a decent shipper title? I've been a E/J shipper my whole life, I qualify. I've been an internet shipper since the E/J fanic warehouse was new. Don't leave me out guys, I am worthy lol. E/J board...believe me if I knew HTML we would have had one years ago, can't wait to see your new site. ghostdiva
