Okay...we have a topic on the best RGB episodes...well, now for the other side of the story. Starting, really, in 1987, the show started to slowly suck. So throw stones here for the worst of it....
Here's my Bottom Five and a (Dis) Honorable Mention
5. Something's Going Around
Not necessarily the worst in terms of plot or animation, but is on this list for one simple thing: first animated appearance of Louis Tully. And his hideous green and purple flight suit
4. Ranson of Green Spud Let's count the ways it sucked: emphasis on Slimer. Overdone rip-off plot. Really crappy plot twists. Two thumbs way down--somebody kidnap the writer, please...
3. The Magnificent Five This pathetic would-be Western had me almost wishing I was a horse with a broken leg so that somebody would take me outside and shoot me. Tip: watch "Ghostfight at the OK Corral" instead.
2. The Slob
The single worst thing to happen to the Ghostbuster franchise was the Slimer cartoons in Season Three, but at least a real fan could ignore them as part of some sort of evil parallel universe. Except then they did RGB stories like this one...
1. Deja Boo
The perennial favorite on "worst episode" lists is the "clip show", so here it is, RGB's very own clip show. Stew in brief clips of much better stories, season with Norman Dweeb, and bring to a boil. Result: sheer unedible crap.
(Dis)Honorable mention: Hanging by a Thread
This story came late in the syndicated package, and it shows with possibly the worst animation in the entire series and uninspired performances from the voice cast. But it's saved by the wonderful scene where the Ghostbusters have to haggle with Charon; Charon eventually takes Ray's sandwich, but bitches about it the whole trip.

It was on the same video, so i have the same reasons, also the guy who did the seance made me angre
Ghost Busted,
AAARRRGGG, were to start? it was so rubbish cause of the lack of Ghosts, the whole idea of catching people was stupid (apart from in Flip Side).

The Spirit Of Aunt Lois, It was on the same video, so i have the same reasons, also the guy who did the seance made me angre. True. Of course, Dr. Bassingham (pronounced "Bassingame") was a fraud and a rip-off artist...you weren't supposed to like him.

The Attack of the B-movie Monsters- Damn stupid. They go to Japan and stay like a day compared to like the week they stayed in Paris. The movie monsters were stupid as well. 20,000 Leagues Under the Street- Peter's in trouble...Again! But this time it has to do with bugs. Most people don't like bugs anyway. Whoop-di-do. Afterlife in the Fast Lane- Janine and Louis have to open a portal to get the guys out. Than there's some kind of weird game. Big Trouble With Little Slimer- If Peck was really going to return is should have never been like this. Busters in Toyland- Peter is stuck as a clown like the entire episode. I'm not a big Pete fan, but even I felt bad for him. Ghost Busted- They become crime busters and Janine gets kidnapped. So typical.

Adventures in Slime and Space
Pretty boring stuff. The King Kong parody was done better in 'Cold Cash and Hot Water' and 'Poultrygeist'.
A Fright at the Opera
Poor animation, the Valkyries were lousy adversaries, and there was little sense of danger conveyed. Only Leopold the conductor saves this one from the scrapheap. Also I couldn't stand Peter's behaviour in this one.
Stay Tooned
A childish plot that rips off several earlier episodes, awful music, and a horrible sense that we're watching a completely different show to the RGB we know and love.
Afterlife in the Fast Lane
The second episode from Season 5 I've seen, and, while not terrible, it comes close at times.

The Worst IMHO:
5. Season 4: Jailbusters If this was Season 1 with the strong Laura Summer Janine, gibberish speaking Slimer, & no Louis Tully to be found; I would enjoy it. But unfortuanately it wasn't, also lame jokes like the scenes in the court & the Governor plus Janson & Menville could also be other reasons why this episode is on my list.
4. Season 4: Kitty-Cornered Let's see: Focus on Slimer, check. Peter & Winston absent without any excuses, check. The Witch's voice is like a cat sent into a washing machine, check. Overall badness, check.
3. Season 2: Baby Spookums First off Coulier & Sourcie unfortunately stated their roles as Peter & Janine (dis)respectively. The plot is one the worst I ever seen. Slimer is now focused too much.
2. Season 5: The Slob Two words: [glow=red,2,300]Professor Dweeb[/glow]. Though on a positive note, I liked the Ecto-Bomber. I wished it was in a better episode.
1. Season 5: Deja Boo Professor Dweeb once again appears in this half-assed plot. The plot should have been about the guys trapped in a elevator or something.
(Dis) Honorable Mention, Season 4: Slimer Streak The plot was okay & I liked the fast pace. But the guys were out of character. Peter didn't know anything about trains and Egon & Ray were solving the clues not Winston.

Donny's bump reminds me of an episode I've come to loathe:
I Am The City
Boring, half-arsed tosh. You'd think they could have come up with a more interesting way to defeat Tiamat. And Marduk got what, about two lines?
The only thing I liked in it was the flying hot-dog gag.

Welcome to the Ectozone, Sam. Er, you might want to edit your post. Whatever you wanted to say appears to have somehow gone bye-bye...

ANYTHING from the "Slimer!" series. Any time Louis is on the screen. One scene redeemed Ghost Busted for me- the scene where Egon hugs Janine...and obviously likes it!

One scene redeemed Ghost Busted for me- the scene where Egon hugs Janine...and obviously likes it! Lol...isn't it great how you can say that here and not get flamed? >ahem< Yeah, "Ghost Busted" was pretty lackluster, but that scene did help a lot (and we just enjoyed joking about "Now, Egon, let me get this straight--you've been studying Janine's biorythms?") Weird thing is, every once in a while I keep finding the concept of the "Crimebuster" equipment, designed for use against human beings, useful. I used it as an important part of the gag in my GB.Nuts entry, "Christmas with the Spenglers"

I quite like "Ghost Busted". It was a good look at what could happen if the team ran out of ghosts to bust. Plus I like the cool music used in that one (like when the GBs chase after the jewellery thief). I'd also defend "Hanging By A Thread", but I think I won't convince anyone there

Taste is a subjective thing, after all. I didn't hate "Ghost Busted" either--I just didn't really really love it. Of course, I wasn't sure about "Ghostfight at the OK Corral" the first time I saw it either, but like a lot of other people now consider it a highlight of the series.
And I honestly figure if I went back and watched "Hanging by a Thread" right now I probably wouldn't dislike it near as much--not after putting up with garbage like "Stay Tooned" or "The Magnificent Five" afterwards.

Talking of unfairly bashed episodes, I rewatched "Adventures in Slime and Space" today and it wasn't nearly as boring as I remembered. In fact there were quite a few good lines and a good base concept that even warranted a revisit of sorts in "Robo-Buster". So waiter, give me a double portion of humble pie, please!
In fact I should really have waiting before seeing all the episodes before picking out my least favourites...Here's my revised bottom 5:
5) I Am The City 4) The Slob 3) Trading Faces (I'll happily defend Jansen and Menville, but this was a prime example of them having an off-day) 2) Stay Tooned 1) Deja Boo (yuck. Just yuck).
