A tale of the lost years between RGB and EGB Ghostbusters: For Worse Or For Better, Part OneBy EGB Fan and Fritz Baugh 1992--Timeline Year Ten Two months after the Ghostbusters broke up, Dana Barrett has only recieved one cryptic note from Peter Venkman. Until he turns up at her doorstep, ready to make the committment he couldn't before... This story is a collaboration between the gifted writer EGB Fan and myself, and I hope you'll enjoy the final result as much as I did. Part Two is completely done, and will be posted in about a week.

Definatly one of the better collaborated stories I've read anywhere. Look forward to the second part. I agree. I really, really like this fic, and I love little Oscar. Soooooo cute It's good to read a Peter/Dana fic for a change. I think there are surprisingly few Peter/Dana stories in GB fandom, which is strange considering that Peter and Dana were the main romantic leads in both films. Anyhow, I'm really looking forward to the next part, and I hope Andre gets a good kicking. Grrrr.

I just read this story, and I have to say it is very good. It really is refreshing to see an all Peter and Dana story. EGB fan is a great writer, I read the things posted on fanfiction.net. I have to ask though, being the huge Egon and Janine fan I am , are you intending to let us know what Peter's take on everything with them is. I would be really interested in seeing Peter's point of view on the relationship, because he always seems to be the most involved outsider in it. Just a thought.

The lack of Peter and Dana stories probably stems from the fact that she was not even mentioned in the cartoons...I admit it took a bit of adjustment myself to think of her as an active character instead of just "Venkman's lost love" Ghostdiva, Venkman's take on some of the Egon/Janine issue of that point in time will definitely be touched on in Part Two.

I like this story. It's a whole lot better than the Peter/Dana stuff done in the movie. I guess that's because you actually had the chance to focus on their relationship alone. And little Oscar is adorable. (Kinda reminds me of my little brother. I'm glad that the next part is going to have something about the Egon/Janine thing. You've got me really curious about how that's fixed up. (It might even help me with something I'm working on here right now.)

I just finished the story and it is fantastic.
It really couldn't have been better if it were in a movie, or a novel, or a comic book... well you get the idea.
I was so caught up in it, and I really am mad at Janine right now for being so irrational.
Keep up the good work, what story will come after this, in the timeline? And who will it be about?

I was so caught up in it, and I really am mad at Janine right now for being so irrational. Janine is really messed up at this point. In September of 1991, she gets caught in the middle of a case and in the process her memories of the preceeding year plus are lost (including "Janine You've Changed" and the blossoming of her relationship with Egon. Egon goes both stone cold and irrational at the same time, even pulling the plug on the Ghostbusters unilaterally--this is why everybody leaves and is pissed at him. Kingpin detailed this in a fanfic called "As Dreams Fade", available at The Omnibus Fan Fic Center It's to help set up EGB continuity, where Janine doesn't see him again until the sereis starts and the others come in later. Timeline wise, the next story I have in mind is called "Nodus"--it's set in 1993 and features Egon as well as, you might expect, the mysterious guy from "Shadow of the Inquisitors" and "Zodiac Imperative"

Sorry I couldn't figure out the quote box.
I read this story too, I'm on top of things. Yes I can tell
she has issues, I was wondering though, at this point
has she already married Louis or is she just toying with
the idea?

The second part completes this story wonderfully well. I'm so pleased that Dana finally accepted Peter's proposal. I'm just waiting for the Egon/Janine wedding... I'm sure there's gonna be one sometime, despite the events in this fic. I was surprised that Egon didn't turn up to Peter's wedding, but it just goes to show how deeply the events in 'As Dreams Fade' had affected one of the closest friendships in the show. Well done, Fritz and EGB Fan. Another great fic!

I've managed to surprise myself with how well 'As Dreams Fade' turned out, but I'm glad people like it I know I said this on other boards, but for appearances sake, great story, I look foward to seeing more colaborations between you and Rosey, Fritz.

From how I read it, they're just dating, but she doesn't want Peter to know. Remember, Ray and Winston know, but promised to keep their mouths shut. I think the events at the wedding might have led her to drastic measures.

Janine and Louis are not married yet in "For Worse or for Better". It doesn't happen until 1993--in fact, some mention of this event will be made in "Nodus"

Just had a thought:
J and L were married how long and didn't have any kids. E and J get married and boom! the Twins are born about a year later. Talk about meant to be...
But then maybe she just left Louis alone...smart lady...
