*there's another scene but I can't place what show it's from, very minor, but Venkman disses Janine yet again and she 'tells on him' to Egon and says "Eeeeegon! You said the next time he insulted me you were gonna *insert technical jargon* to him!"...if anybody remember what episode this is in let me know (it's with an 'old' Janine and it's not a typical Janine heavy episode)...I think it's cute as it shows that Egon has at least told Janine he would 'defend her honour', if even in jest, to Peters teasing, and the fact that she 'reports' Venkman to Spengler, again shows the closeness of E & J's relationship, as it's much farther developed than what they reveal in the show (and naturally so, since it is about Ghostbusting after all)...
That's actually from the classic "Ragnarok and Roll", if it's the one I'm thinking of. Early in the episode, she's putting stick pins into a map of the recent event sites, and complaining about how many times she's gotten stuck by the pins. Venkman makes some crack about getting her to a good vet or something like that...
Janine: "Egon! You said you'd transplant his brain into a chicken the next time he makes fun of me!"
Though of course most E/J fans remember this one more for the ending, which we've covered previously in this thread I'm sure.

I've always loved that part too. Janine: I hope you're satisfied Egon. Do you have any idea how many times I stuck my finger while putting in those silly stick pins? 12! Peter: Tough going Janine old girl. But don't worry as soon as we can we'll get you to a vet. Janine: Egon! You said you'd transplant his brain into a chicken next time he made fun of me! LOL! I can just see Peter, the chicken, running around now. Bok! Bok! Bok!
As for "Doctor, Doctor" Janine: How are they treating you Egon? Egon: Like a two-headed calf. Now I know how Slimer feels. I just wish they'd let me bring some of equipment in. Janine: It's against hospital policy, but I sneaked you in a few things. Egon: Janine! I knew I could trust you. You brought the spectrometer, right? The ecto-diffusitron? The plasmometer? Janine: Better! Chicken soup with mushrooms. You're favourite. Egon: Thanks Janine... You're... You're a real comfort. It's so funny! Yeah as if she'd go into the lab to get one his gadgets to smuggle into the hospital. Sheesh!
I absolutely love Janine's original hair. Short and spunky. I used to try doing my own hair like hers. I've always been borderline tomboy and girlie-girl. I love jewelley and make-up, but I don't wear dresses or skirts much, preffering a shirt and shorts. I've always liked both girls and boys cartoons and dolls and action figures.

Thanks for that, rgbforever. I really appreciate it. That was probably "The Lady in Red."
Janine and Egon are like two halves of the same soul separated aeons ago by fate and preordained to meet each other, no matter the odds, every lifetime throughout history... throughout all eternity. Taken from my fic "The Lady in Red."

Two more minor E/J moments I noticed while watching the episodes the other day...they may not be much, but they definately qualify as a 'moment' or proof that it wasn't always one sided:
* in "Egon's Ghost" when Ray says he's made the contraption to get Egon back to normal Egon and Janine look at each other and exchange this cute little personal smile...anybody catch that? If you blink you miss it...
* in "X-Mas Marks the Spot" Egon grabs Janines hand to pull her into the firehouse to 'help him' ...which is not much but being Egon, the fact that he initiated contact...well, if he was 'scared' or 'intimidated' of Janine, he definately wouldn't have done that...
Anyways, just thought I'd add those to the repetoire!
Not only does he speak quite eloquently on Egon and Janine, he defends one of GB Donny and mine's other favorite couples, Tai and Sora. It's also interesting how he points to "definitive" fan writers for his favorite couples...though just look at the utter hack he mentions for Egon and Janine, though.

*cough* GB Donny's and my *cough* grammar *cough*
Ahem, do excuse me. Having a "couples journal" sounds like fun - you get to just sit and type stuff about all of your favourite couples. I can't really do it on DA myself - my watchers wouldn't give a damn what I think about Kylie and Eduardo, Danny and Sam etc. I dunno, maybe I'll start a thread for non-GB TV couples here... but right now I have to go refresh my memory of The Munsters.
Fritz, you deserve to be the definitive writer on this couple for sheer quantity. (Fortunately your stories are also imbued with quality.)
